Edward P. Norris began his real estate career while completing his bachelor's degree in business which he earned from the University of New Mexico in 1959.

In the 1950's Ed worked in high rise and residential construction in the Chicago area.  During the 1960's and 1970's he built several custom homes and office building in Albuquerque.  Ed is currently a licensed general contractor in Colorado, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington and is currently obtaining license in Arizona, Nevada, South Dakota, Missouri and Kansas. 

He worked as a salesperson and accountant until 1963 at which time he and Bruce Caird opened Caird Norris Realty.  In 1971, Ed started Norris Realty which became one of New Mexico's largest real estate companies.  Today Ed and his wife Pattie continue to run Norris Realty.

Ed owned and operated Norris School of Real Estate from 1971 to 1993 when it was sold.  Ed also worked as a real estate instructor for the University of New Mexico from 1982 until 1997.

Ed started, developed and later sold two insurance agencies.  He (with partners) has also developed several subdivisions in the Albuquerque area.  He has also sat on the New Mexico State Engineering Board.

In 1996, Ed started specializing in Post Office development.  He began by site procurement for the U.S. Postal Service around New Mexico.  In 1997 he built his first Post Office in Kirtland, New Mexico.  Today, he has built 17 Postal buildings in 5 different states and continuing to expand to different areas.

Though specializing in Postal development, Ed has been involved in market analyst of other developments throughout the southwest.
